"General, we have our enemy surrounded. Heh, heh"

"Lieutenant, why are you laughing?"

"I'm sorry. It's just too funny. We sound like we're in the middle of Afghanistan or something," Zule apologized, snickering as she ducked behind a wall. For a game of laser tag, this was far more heated than they had expected.

"Can it, Az-"

"Say it, and the trigger gets pulled." Kevin felt the plastic gun's barrel against the back of his head and sighed. Zule was known for her short fuse and hatred of her real name.

"We don't have time for this, guys. Put your shields on and await my signal," their leader, Ad, ordered. He waited for an opening before dashing towards the enemies' base.  Zule and Kevin followed, flanked by the rest of the team.

"It's about time we retook this place," Kevin said. "Now let's give these spineless worms what they deserve!" Zule ignored his remark and turned to a worried Ad.

"Where's Sky?" he asked. Zule glanced around and shook her head, refusing to say what they both new.

Skylar was still out there.

"I'm going after her," Ad proclaimed. "Back me up." They both took a few cautious steps before making a dash for cover. Ad carefully moved through the maze of walls with Zule trailing behind, shooting at anything that moves.

"Ad, Zule, I'm over here!" a familiar voice shouted. They both turned to see Skylar pinned down by a fallen wall.

"Sky! What happened to you?!" Ad exclaimed.

"Don't worry about me. Thoses guys, their guns, they're-"

"Better than ours? Yeah, we noticed." Zule lifted the wall with ease and with Ad holding her gun, she carried Sky, piggy-back style.

"What happened?!" Rachel, another teammate, exclaimed when they got back to base.

"Ask later. Rachel! LOOK OUT!" Zule exclaimed as Rachel hit the floor. Ad turned her over and they all saw the wound that had been inflicted.

"What's going on?" Ad asked. "This is blood!"

"I tried to warn you," Skylar replied. "Our enemies' guns are real." Ad and Zule gazed in horror at their fallen comrade's now lifeless form. Now that Skylar mentioned it, this 'game' seemed to be going on for much longer than it should be. Suddenly, an explosion fan through the building, knocking them to the ground. When they recovered, our heroes ran up the platform leading to there newly claimed base.

"Where's Rach?" Kevin asked.

"Dead." Kevin's eyes widened in surprise and he opened his mouth to say something, only to be cut off by a booming, menacing voice.

"Skylar Gray, Adam Belzze, Azulery Arks, and Kevin Worcestershire. Show yourselves before I begin killing your comrades. One by one," the voice demanded.

"State your buisiness!" Zule exclaimed, a hint of annoyance in her voice,

"Don't answer him, you idiot!" Kevin said, covering Zule's mouth with a hand. "Ow! Did you just bite me?!"

"Kevin, you're going to give us away," Ad warned.

"But she just bit me!"

Kevin, shut up before he finds us!" Skylar exclaimed.

"Too late," the voice says behind them. The man chuckled. "Did you really think you can hide from me? Now, if we're done playing games, come with me."

"Forget it. There's no way we'd come with you," Kevin snarled.

"I don't think we have a choice, Kev. Let's go," Skylar replied, standing. She followed the man, Ad and Zule flanking her and Kevin close behind. Once outside they were led to a large truck and a short ride later, they were in a strange building.

"Only two guards," Zule noted. "Think we can take them?"

"It'll be close and Sky's injured. Our timing will have to be perfect."

"Then it will be. You listening, Kevin?"

"Ready when you are."

"Then start running." Kevin took off as Zule threw something in the air. It exploded and they used the blast as a distraction. Skylar kept up the best she could, but she still found herself falling behind Ad and Zule. They turned a corner and stopped, causing her to run into them.

"What are you waiting for Kevin? If you're too afraid, let us go ahead," Zule ordered. Kevin grinned and turned something on the door- a lock. Kevin was a traitor. No wonder Skylar didn't trust him at first.

"Sorry. As much fun as that seems, I'm afraid I can't let you escape," Kevin replied with a smirk.

"Why you little," Zule growled as she pouced. Kevin raised his hand and Zule was flung away from him like a rag doll. With a thud, Zule's unconcious form fell to the ground.

"Zule! Don't tell me you killed her too," Ad exclaimed.

"No, but Miss Arks won't be waking up for a very long time," the man they met before said appearing behind them. "Now, if you would be so kind as to come with me." Skylar and Ad exchanged a glance before sighing in defeat and following the mysterious man.

I have a bad feeling about this, Skylar thought.
